Gratuities:
It is customary to tip the guides and lodge staff at the end of the trip. This is discretionary, but we recommend USD$400 as an appropriate sum for the guide team, to be given to the Head Guide at the end of your stay, and an additional USD$350 for camp staff to be given to the Camp Manager and divided between the team.
Currency:
Russian Rubles. International credit/ debit cards are widely accepted at hotels, restaurants and most shops in Russia. Dollars and Euros are also accepted in some places. Please bring US Dollars cash to settle your gratuities.
Insurance:
You should ensure that you have adequate travel insurance and trip cancellation insurance.This is a requirement for obtaining a Russian tourist visa.
Passport Validity:
Your passport should have at least 2 blank pages and an expiry date at least 6 months beyond the expiry date of your Russian tourist visa.
Visa Requirements:
Visas are required for North Americans and most European residents. Kharlovka, Rynda, Strelna guests will be sent an official invitation letter upon final booking confirmation.
An invitation letter is required to apply for and obtain your Russia tourist visa. Check online with the Russian National Tourist Office for a list of those countries who do not require visas to visit the Russian Federation. Please note that only those with Russian Tourist visas will be allowed into the Kharlovka and Rynda camps as Business or other visa classifications will not be accepted.
Proof of Onward Travel:
You may need to provide proof of onward or return travel at immigration.
Your Questionnaire:
Please ensure you have completed and returned your questionnaire to us before departure. It is a condition of booking that you inform us of any existing medical condition that may affect your ability to take part in your holiday. If you have any dietary requirements or other special requests due to a medical condition, please let us know so that we can pass the information on to the camp.
