There was a party of 11 fishermen with experience that varied from accomplished to first timers.
Saturday was pretty cold and very windy with just a few hours of fishing with the group managing to catch 13 fish.
The best of them was 22 lbs for Gennadiy. Elena also had a nice16 lbs salmon on the opening day.
For Anatoliy it was his 1st salmon ever (11 lbs), very happy and proud.
There was also a young fisher - Alik (13 years old) who caught 4 of the 13 fish the very first day. One of them was 12 lbs. His 1st salmon fishing ever.
Sunday (31 July).
Sunny and warm weather with no wind at all.
25 fish for the day!
Best fish:
Two 20-lbs. 20 lbs For Aidin (Alik's father) - his 1st salmon ever.
By the way, Alik (son) has improved his result for 15 lbs, but unfortunately there is no photo.
20-lbs for our good friend Alex from Farlows Saint-Petersburg.
18 lbs for Dmitriy (his PB).
Early week the weather changed a lot from sunny - heavy rain - again sunny - rain - sunny and hot.
16 lbs (7,4 kg) for Alex from Litza, Ledge pool, caught on Samurai.
Also there was a 9-pounder for Max (4 kg), fresh and sea-liced! Not big, but rare for this time of the season. Quite a good photo for such a size, very silver.
Max said that this fish reminded him of the June weeks in the beginning of the season.
Late week brought very heavy rain with thunder for about 1,5 hours in the middle of the day.
Our old friend Max caught his 30-pounder (13,6 kg) at his favourite pool - Eastern Litza, Flat stone. Caught on Golden Killer double - special tied for him by one of our guides.
Total for Max today - 5 fish. By the way, it's Max's 4th week on both Kharlovka and Rynda during this season.
A small story about Max’s 30-pounder: He saw this active fish, looked at it properly and found out in what place it stays. And started hunting. Very quietly and carefully.
He was trying and trying, softly casting, changing flies. Fish is quite tight and choosy during this time of the season. Max was as careful as possible with his casts. He changed 3 flies and then decided to try a Green one with a golden double hook, Golden Killer variant, tied especially for Max by one of our guides. And finally after an hour he hooked this wonderful 30-pounder. Actually, it broke one hook, so Max landed it with a single fly.
Very happy team and a wonderful week, full of jokes, funny stories and fishing friendship.
